Thank You

These workshops have had powerful impact on us all! Thank you to the following organizations for sponsoring our work:

Write to Change:  The Write to Change Foundation works with students, teachers, and organizations in South Carolina and beyond to:

  • Promote Literacy and Civic Engagement.
We encourage and support young people and their mentors who use literacy and digital media to serve their schools and communities.
  • Empower Youth to become Agents of Change. We educate, engage, and equip young people to serve as leaders and change agents as members of organizations and youth collectives that work for equity and social justice.
  • Engage Youth Voices and Youth Actions in Policy. We raise public awareness and influence public policy when it comes to recognizing that young people are resources to be developed rather than problems to be solved.

  1. Thank you Navajo Kentuckians! The conference in February at Dine College was a wonderfully exhilarating experience for me. You taught me so much about food, community building, and collegiality. Thank you! I look forward to reading, hearing, and working with you. This connection will grow, much like our gardens.

  2. Kudos to Brent and his team for all their efforts to connect young people to each other and to the world around them.

  3. It’s a privilege—and an education—to connect with the Navajo Kentuckians, whose work in school, out of school, in their communities and beyond, demonstrates what teachers and young people working together can do. It will be exciting to see the Navajo Kentuckians sustain and extend their project.
    Cultivating food literacy—-and cultivating minds!
